NEW GLARUS, WI
Who in the heck is Pete?
Ken and Jackie Moen founded For Pete's Sake Home Care Agency (FPS) in the fall of 2021 in response to a supportive care agency service void in the rural community of New Glarus. The small agency was intended to serve their adult son, Peter, who requires assistance to live in his apartment.
Pete comes from a large family, so the intention was that his siblings would continue on with the modest family business after Pete's parents were no longer able to direct his care.
In the fall of 2022, several other parents of young adults living at Prairie Haus approached Ken and Jackie inquiring about FPS providing services for their loved ones.
Ken and Jackie have had a history of answering the call for service within the disabled community. In 2006, they founded a nonprofit family resource center that became a state-licensed mental health center and private school for neurodiverse individuals.
After careful consideration and deep conversations with their adult children, who will eventually be taking the helm at FPS, they dove in with both feet. FPS proudly employs over 65 first-rate caregivers, who provide supportive services to young adults so they may enjoy what we all strive for: contented, meaningful, and fun-filled lives.
